On November 4, Guangming District Supervisory Commission held its first special supervisor appointment meeting, selecting and appointing 16 special supervisors. Yao Wensheng, Standing Committee Member of the District Committee, Secretary of the District Discipline Inspection Commission, and Director of the District Supervisory Commission, presented appointment letters to the special supervisors and delivered a speech. He emphasized that special supervisors must shoulder their responsibilities and mission, working together with discipline inspection and supervision cadres district-wide to advance comprehensive strict Party governance, solidly develop Party conduct, clean governance, and anti-corruption efforts, contributing to Guangming District's development as a world-class science city and northern Shenzhen center.

The 16 appointed special supervisors represent a diverse, distinguished group with rich experience. They include Communist Party members, democratic party members, and non-party individuals; People's Congress representatives and Political Consultative Conference members; party and government personnel as well as enterprise employees and grassroots representatives; experts, scholars, and media professionals. Their primary responsibility will be supervising discipline inspection and supervisory organs and their staff in performing duties, providing suggestions for strengthening and improving discipline inspection and supervision work, while serving as advisors, bridges, and public opinion guides.

Yao Wensheng expressed his hopes and requirements for the special supervisors. First, they must enhance political awareness and deeply understand the significance of special supervisory work. Second, they must remember their responsibilities and mission, fully exercising their functions as special supervisors: serving as "supervisors" monitoring discipline inspection and supervisory organs and their staff; as "advisors" providing consultation for scientific decision-making; as "liaisons" bridging with the public; and as "publicists" promoting Party conduct, clean governance, and anti-corruption work. Third, they must perform duties diligently, not disappointing the Party and people's expectations. They should maintain correct direction, continuously improve their capability and performance level, maintain responsibility and self-discipline, establishing a good image as special supervisors. He also required discipline inspection and supervisory organs at all district levels and their staff to consciously accept supervision, implement service support, strengthen communication and cooperation, creating favorable conditions for special supervisors to fully perform their duties.
