In TK Holdings (“TK”), love is unconditional, and feeling is borderless. We are just like one family in TK Holdings regardless of where we come from. On December 1, TK staff harbor sincere feelings towards each other; they love each other, trust each other, respect each other, include each other, encourage each other and promote each other. Gathering on the square at the square of the Jig Factory, the 17th TK Holdings Cultural Festival & Fun Sports Meet was successfully staged. Mr. Rance P.L. Lee, the President of TK Holdings, and Mr. Weng Jianxiang, the CEO, and Mr. Zhang Fanghua, the Executive Director of the Company, attended the opening ceremony.
This event had the theme of “Setting sail with a dream.” Consisting of eight games, it had attracted the participation of 35 representative teams, and 140 volunteers and workers. More than 2,600 staff members participated in the event. It was filled with joyful and exciting voices at the site, where athletes looked in fine fig. They marched in steps and chanted slogans, creating a beautiful scene.
Brilliant moments at the entry
At sharp 8:00 in the morning, the members of all representative teams were in uniform, presenting a high-spirited style. They marched in beautiful formation into the venue amidst keyed-up melodies. Sitting on the platform for VIPs, the senior management of the Company gave hearted blessings to all participants. The Eagle Team from the No.2 Precision Department won the best formation prize for entry into the venue by their high spirit and unique modeling.
At sharp 9:00 on the morning, Mr. Rance P.L. Lee, President of TK Holdings, announced the commencement of the 17th TK Holdings Cultural Festival & Fun Sports Meet. It rouse all people at the venue, kicking off all competition items, accompanied by the screams, shouting and laughter, which formed an exciting orchestra exclusive to TK Holdings. Let’s move onto the brilliant moments of the competitions!
Joys • collaboration---Spider Man
The athletes were required to crawl to the designated place with a small tube, and used a “Spider” tool to carry the small tube to the destination. Spider Man referred to an event full of funs and ordeals. The members strived to move forward, just to win more time for their respective relaying partners. The event demonstrated the tacit collaboration and the persistent teamwork.
Speed •Skills---continuously
Four participants must collaborate to put on clothes in turn, and then another participant could clamp a ball with a forceps to carry it to the designated place. At the same time, other participants use a pentagonal plate to carry a ball to the destination, and drop it into a vessel at the destination from the round hole at the center of the pentagonal plate. In the whole process, the participant was not allowed to touch the ball. If the ball fell off, it will not be included in the counting. This does not only pose a test to the strength of the participants, but also represents the highly blending of speed and skills.
Force •showdown---Taking an exam in Beijing
The sports meet demonstrated the physical force of the participants in the game called “Taking an exam in Beijing,” which was designed to check their mental ability. The participants used “a hot wheel” to carry a small ball to the inside of a tyre, while each the other eight members held a rope to roll the tyre. They would take out the small ball and place it at the corresponding location on the A&Q board at the destination, wrote the correct formula before carrying the ball back to the starting point.
Teamwork•contest---tug of war
At the whistle of the competition, all teams demonstrated the most powerful strength of competition. They held tightly the rope with both hands, and used the last bit of their strength with concerted efforts to pull the rope, fully embodying their strong will.
Joys of harvests
After the tug of war was over, the sports meet was near the end, which saw the last section of the event---the award ceremony. By the collective integrating system, the Pioneer Team of the No.3 Precision Department won the Team Champion of the sports meet and the No.3 High-efficient Department secured the champion of the tug of war after defeating several rivals.
This sports meet was actually a drill of competition and teamwork, as well as the perfect embodiment of collective spirit. In the competitions, the whole staff of the Company competed and exchanged and shared friendship just like a big family. They trusted each other, respected each other, included each other, encouraged each other and promoted each other. They converted the solidarity and cooperation as well as the struggling and pioneering spirit into the inexhaustible driving force in their work as well as the career of the Company.
